Date: October 26, 2013 – Looking for Boo Fest Sponsors!

The Board of ACCESS (Adapting and Changing Children’s Environments with Successful Solutions) is looking forward to another fun filled BooFest event this year scheduled for Saturday October 26th from 930am-3pm outside Lakeview Regional Medical Center.  Participation and sponsorship in past years’ events has helped make BooFest the huge success it has been — seeing over 3,000 attendees the first year balloon to close to 10,000 attendees last year! This “spook-tacular” event aims to have children of all abilities — disabled and able-bodied alike — Trick or Treat alongside one another stopping at over 70 “Haunted” Houses and Castles decorated by sponsors. In just three years the event has raised over $50,000 for local families of children with disabilities, allowing our non-profit organization to give out financial grants to these children in need for items not covered by insurance and/or Medicaid such as wheelchairs, adaptive car seats, adaptive bicycles/tricycles, car/home/van modifications, and other adaptive equipment and assistive devices.

Become a Boo Fest Sponsor

We would love to have you/your business represented this year at BooFest 2013 as an event sponsor. This year there are even more sponsorship levels available for you and your business. New opportunities are available including sole sponsorship of one of three “Trick or Treat Neighborhoods” — part of a new concept in the layout for this year’s BooFest event — with each neighborhood having 10-15 houses/castles along it’s path connecting from the main walkway around the event grounds. Additional sponsorships new for this year also include sponsorship of the Stage, Costume Contest, and other prominent components of the event (see attached). Similar to last year, sponsorships of individual Trick or Treat “Haunted” Houses and Castles remain as well!

As a sponsor, you decorate your “Haunted” House or Castle as you compete to win CA$H awards in the categories of “Scariest”, “Most Original”, and the coveted “Kids Choice” Award. There will also be a live D.J. getting the crowd moving as well as a number of activities for children including pumpkin decorating, face painting, all abilities games, live performances by Max the Love Dog, free photo booth pictures, appearances by the Saintsations, and, of course, the annual BooFest costume contest.

How to Register as a Sponsor

This year’s sponsorship information and registration forms details the levels of sponsorship for Boo Fest 2013 and hope that you/your business will participate. With the marked increase in participation last year we are aiming for a cap of 80 houses/castles along the path at the event and in the three new neighborhoods. Sponsorships are already going fast so sign up soon to ensure you’ll once again be part of BooFest!

This year will again include the Annual Northshore Area Board of Realtors Annual Chili Challenge, with over 20 teams vying for awards. NABOR is extremely excited about this partnership with ACCESS and to have the Realtor Chili Challenge included again in BooFest 2013!

Feel free to contact the Board of ACCESS with any questions not answered by the attached sponsor information forms. Additionally, please feel free to pass on the sponsor forms to anyone you feel that may be interested in participating. You can also check out pictures from last year’s BooFest event and download additional forms at www.accesslouisiana.org or check us out on Facebook under “ACCESS Louisiana”.

As always, 100% of all proceeds from BooFest from your sponsorship go toward ACCESS as we deliver on our mission provide financial grants to the families of children with disabilities for items of need denied by private insurance or Medicaid.

The ACCESS board hopes you are able to participate as a sponsor and look forward to seeing you at BooFest 2013!
