BooFest 2014

ACCESS Board of Directors Are Asking You
to Join Us This Year for Boo Fest 2014!

We are calling out to you, and all of our past sponsors, to sign up to be part of this wonderful event benefiting the many children with disabilities and their families on the Northshore and throughout the state of Louisiana. The Trick or Treat Houses and Castles have been ordered and are on their way here and will soon be ready to be decorated by sponsoring businesses and families like you! So don’t delay, send in your sponsorship forms and then get going on your plans for decorating your one-of-a-kind Boo Fest Trick or Treat House or Castle TODAY!

The 5th Annual Boo Fest event is scheduled for Saturday October 25th from 930am-3pm outside Lakeview Regional Medical Center. Your participation and sponsorship in past years’ events has helped make BooFest the huge success it has been – seeing over 3,000 attendees the first year balloon to over 10,000 attendees last year!

The “spook-tacular” event aims to have children of all abilities, disabled and able-bodied alike,Trick or Treat alongside one another stopping at over 70 “Haunted” Houses and Castles “expertly” decorated by sponsors like you. In just four years the event has raised over $75,000 for local families of children with disabilities, allowing ACCESS to give out financial grants to families of children with disabilities for items not covered by insurance and/or Medicaid such as wheelchairs, adaptive car seats, adaptive bicycles/tricycles, car/home/van modifications, and other adaptive equipment and assistive devices.

This year there are many sponsorship levels available for you and your business. Sponsorship opportunities are available including sole sponsorship of one of three “Trick or Treat Neighborhoods” as well as sponsorship of the Stage, the popular Costume Contest, the Arts & Crafts station, and other prominent components of the event (see attached). Of course, sponsorships of individual Trick or Treat “Haunted” Houses and Castles remain as well.

Just like last year, don’t forget to decorate your “Haunted” House or Castle as you compete against fellow sponsors to win CA$H awards and coveted “Boo Fest notoriety” as the best of the best in the categories of “Scariest”, “Most Original”, and the coveted “Kids Choice” Award.

Once again, this year, in addition to pizza, hot dogs and other kid friendly food & drinks offered at Boo Fest, the Annual Northshore Area Board of Realtors (“NABOR”) Chili Challenge has partnered with Boo Fest bringing over 20 teams vying for the title of Chili Champion. We are extremely excited about this partnership with NABOR and encourage those interested in sponsorship of a Chili cook-off team to contact NABOR directly at 985-674-4233.
